Abstract

Indocyanine green (ICG) is a biofluorescence dye known in the world of medicine since the 1950s. At the beginning it was used to assess the function of the heart and the liver. ICG steps in surgery just in the last 20 years and especially in the surgical oncology. The aim of the current review is to examine the literature on the opportunities for usage of ICG in the modern surgical oncology, the advantages and the future potentialities of the dye.
