STUDY ON CANCER ADAPTIVITY IN PATIENTS UNDERGOING CHEMOTHERAPY AND RADIOTHERAPY

Abstract

The issue of patient’s personal response to the disease appears a significant psychological issue in the oncological practice. The method Mental Adjustment to Cancer Scale allows to determine the individual strategies for management of the emotional problems connected with cancer dynamics and its treatment. The results’ analysis is based on interconnected potentials in man, which reflect the different aspects of somatic, spiritual and social health. The estimation of psycho-social adaptivity has to follow the distress screening.
