Abstract

Immune-mediated adverse events (irAEs) represent a heterogeneous group of responses in which a drug substance or its metabolite induces a specific immune reaction leading to tissue and organ damage. This article summarizes the main mechanisms, clinical manifestations, diagnostic approaches, and current trends in the prevention and treatment of irAEs.
